A2Z......
can he do the the carolina squat gayness? all i need is for the engine to be higher than the water. haha
All the FJ Cruiser owners in Columbia are probably testing out their snorkels.
Snorkels don't mean shit if the air box aint sealed. Ive seen too many jack legs think their Jeep is waterproof and submerge their shit only to fuck it up like it didnt have a snorkel. Ive been Jeepin since I was a kid, and water over the hood is not good, snorkel or not.

You'd have to make sure your vacuum lines and crankcase breather lines are also sealed. There's a little more to it.

I ran across this video when I bought my Willys, thought it was pretty neat.

There was no hose just a damn hole, the most capable 4x4 in the world has a hole on top of the transmission that allows water to seep in, great design. Oh well I ran breather tubes above the radiator after I fixed it. I hate I sold that thing, that old Jeep would go anywhere you pointed it.

Yes, a sharp hole saw and testicular fortitude are your best friends. Once you drill the first hole in a perfectly good fender it's all downhill from there. Just as others have mentioned move all your vents ( axels, transmission, transfer case , e-lockers, etc) to inside your vehicle. However the snorkel was designed for dusty conditions. Installing one will not make you a U-boat captain. Because once the water begins to flow into the cabin area and your computers become soggy it's game over. But at least you didn't hydro lock. After its all said and done I just like the way it looks I really don't neeeeed one.
