    Default 10pt. 2014 vs. 2015

It's amazing what an extra year will do for a deer. I passed this 10 in 2014 numerous times with the hopes of my son connecting to no avail. He may not get a pass this year.

    Default 10pt. 2014 vs. 2015

Is it just me or does he look skinnier in 2014?

    Heck of a buck though

Edit: I meant skinnier this year...

Nice bunch of bucks. That 10 is a good looking critter.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Thanks.....all these deer are on 180 acres. For some reason this family tract has held good deer from year to year shooting holes in the old saying you need 600+ acres to grow big bucks.

Funny you should say that. We have roughly 200 acres we hunt with a community dog club which hunts next to us on a couple of their 40 acre tracts as well as another neighbor that is into killing big numbers yet we consistently have some very nice deer.

I am as big of a dog hunter as there is and I can not stand the "community" club that hunts 3 days a week on different 40-60 acre tracts around us. Turn loose 20+ head of dogs on each one too. Wouldn't be bad if they did it once a month or every 3 weeks. I am 100% in favor of a bill stating you must have 1,000 continuous acres in order to hunt deer with dogs. It would eliminate a lot of problems.
Despite that, we still have some very nice deer.
