    Default Trainer for pointers

Looking to break my 8 month old Brittnay pup. He's pointing but is not steady to wing/ shot. Can anyone recomend a few pointing dog kennels / trainers.

If you are in the upstate, go see Mo Lindley: http://lindleykennel.com/

He literally wrote the book on Brittany training. He trained mine, and took her from a wild, uncontrolled, stubborn dog into a good, well-trained little fireball. Now, if only I hunted her more.

Jeff, go see Maurice Lindley. Lindley Kennels in Moonville, SC. Bobby Lindley runs it or use to and will be your contact. Maurice is deaf but he's a bird dog whisperer.

Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

Rusty Wilson I've heard is good
    (803) 968-5757

And then I used to have the number of an older fella in Pamplico that was a retired GW that trained bird dogs but have since lost his number.
I'm gonna be looking for a trainer real soon myself.

Gary Satterfield, is about the cheapest and is damn good also! Just doesn't take many dogs at a time anymore. He is getting up there in age but from what I hear he is still a damn fine trainer. Pm me and I'll shoot you his number.

As its been said already, Mo Lindley wrote the book on Brittany training. Take him there, and skip the crap. I promise you'll he'll get it right. He won't hear you, but man he can hear things from those dogs like no one else can. Its a true God given talent that man has, so take advantage of it! You will not regret it.

Send wingnut a pm. He just finished his wirehairs Master hunter title. He trainers everyday and is damned good. I trained pointers for 20 years I would send him my dog. Mo Lindley is the best in the state. I knew him when he could hear. Awesome guy.
