    Default Trapping 2014/15

First day we set out 3 dozen or so between all of the dogproof and a few conibears.

This morning had 1 yote, 2 coons and a beaver. Added another dozen sets for tomorrow.

I love these threads. The time I spent trapping as a kid was some of the best times of my life. I wish i had time and a place to trap now. keep up the good work
Seeing these soulless vanilla ice lookin Yankees on a bassboat is worse than watching a woman get her implants taken out. It's just wrong. Get back in your Lund and go back to infisherman.

    X2

I've got a pile of #1 1/2 coil springs in the shop. I need to set about two dozen hole sets one weekend and whack some coons.

Have you tried any powder river paste? Curious to see if it’s my area that it murders them on or if its just that good.
I have everything pulled right now, 10 days, 13 traps, 7 yotes and 10 foxes later I have our place wiped out for the moment. I got about 3-4 more weeks before they start creeping back in.

Actually 8 yotes, I had one pull his toes off when I got out the truck, caught him again 2 days later in a walk through by the back foot, bastard dug a hole big enough to bury a man in and left with a MB550 with a 18” superstake. I hope he got hung up and died

No haven't tried the powder river. We did get several new ones to try this season though.

I'll get some and see how it does

Pelts here aren't worth as much as the ones out west or so I've been told.

They aren't worth nearly as much here, and good luck finding a buyer without going out of state.

Don't do it for money$ a man would go broke if he did it for a part time job.

If all you did was trap you could probably get by but it would not be high on the hog.

Yea I wouldn't expect to do it for the money, Didn't know if you could get enough to pay for a lil gas money or just do it for fun and to help the other critters
