For the record, there are hundreds of cases in the US where fish and game brought in captured deer, elk, bighorns etc to introduce genetic diversity to a herd.
And on the CWD thing, isn’t the only way to test for it is to examine the spine or brain? I have no problem with it at long as its native and isn’t bringing in a disease.

Cattle, sheep, pigs, poultry, ext are moved all the time. If you move an animal there needs to be safeguards to prevent potential problems.

It is currently legal to bring bighorn sheep into SC. Figure that.

No but shortly after the deer arrived I invited them to see the project. Not a good idea as it turned out.
