    Default Controlling horse nettle

The damn stuff is everywhere. I need something that I can spray that crap with and not hurt my horse pasture. 2,4D does not seem to get good reviews when I did a Google search, anything else out there?

Just be glad you're not trying to control pigweed.

    Or johnson grass.

So far, I'm lucky and have very little pigweed. The horse nettle is harder to control than pigweed believe it or not.

I thought Grazon was supposed to work pretty good? If not, I'm 99.999% sure that Dow makes something real similar to grazon that is a little stronger stuff.

Horse nettle is worse than pigweed in a pasture situation because it has a widespread underground root system. Grazon should have decent control and allow grazing close behind.

Dow Milestone is labeled for it. Only reason I know is because I was researching what can be used to get rid of maypops/passion flower vines in pastures without hurting nearby live oaks.

Grazon P+D works pretty well but you won't get rid of it by spraying just one year. Plan on spraying at least two maybe even three years and then you might be able to get by with every other year or so. Also don't plan on composting the manure or using it in the garden, the P (picloram) has a residual effect that last a long time in the manuer

1.5 pints of GrazonNext HL and a good MSO to heat it up. Spring during flowering is the best time to spray.

Going to take time as stated. They are highly invasive in some areas.

Like my yard/hayfield, whatever you want to call it. Glyphosate just knocks the top off and a new one pops up right next door.

I have a bunch of HN in my chufa. I sprayed it last week with butyrac 200(2-4-D b) I'm hoping it will kill it. Does anybody know for sure if it will kill it. It is not listed on label, I sprayed it because I had some other broadleafs to kill as well.

2,4-d is the best option the reviews are wrong. If you have any clovers as well use grazon next.
