Default Corn plants second opinion needed

I planted some late corn. In the last week something(deer) have ate the tops off. Now the plants may be four inches high. Any remote chance the damn stuff may make? Just fuck me naked.

Not a chance it would make even if a critter hadn't nipped the tops unless it is a tropical variaty that makes in 90 day. When was this said corn planted?

you have 4" tall corn in august and you're worried about what's eating the tops?

Corn nematodes. I'd plant some soybean nematodicide then I'd plant some soybeans.

Last year I saw where 2 or 3 big farmers got some big milo fields ruined by early frost. They were weeks away from making a crop.

I was in Newberry yesterday picking up some kind of disc while waiting on them to load it on the trailer I clicked onto this site. This was the first post. I rethought my plans, got everything loaded, and headed back to Camden.

I planted it the first of July because last year they ate it all before our gun season started. I can't win.

Planting that late, I'd expect you to have a pivot, if you wanted production. Ours went in end of May this year (late), and is starting to turn.

Go with iron a clay peas. They seem to take the brows better if you can get them established....

Gotta have a spray rig full of organophosphates if you find army worms....something with a skull and crossbones on the jug.....and you better find them early.....
