Caught a bunch of bream and catfish last weekend. What part of the lake are you going to be at?

Look for beds worms and crickets that's what I did in the Wateree creek area. They are also catching crappie in that area.

I'm going to take my dad and try to get on some! I appreciate the help too. Is the marina still open on the water that serves food? Was it called colonel creek maybe? Been 20 years since I've been there

Yes colonel creek is still there, and the food, but it is loaded with people.

The buck hill landing is the one right beside the dam if you're looking to put in somewhere

Colonel Creek, as in the creek is still there. Not the old store the way it was, there's the Retreat if that's what you're talking about. Which damn? What side? This time of year you might want to be fishing early as well because of the crowds. The Riverdeck still has the best burger on the lake, no comparison.

We turn by walmart and go down there lol. If I remember correct the landing we use to use is a large public landing and there is some housing retreats beside it? Maybe like armed forces vacation houses maybe? 20 years is a long time lol

That's Clearwater. So you're next to the lower dam. This time if year I'd head out early for rockfish on top. Youre right near a few good places. If you're wanting some peace this this of year fish early or head up north, depending if you like to bass fish. The water is could get all funky in that area, schools out and it's warm.

If you're willing to make the trip from Clearwater almost to the Cedar Creek dam then you tear the catfish up. Fish deep water with cut up bream. Good luck and enjoy!

Yes sir I out the havoc in yesterday afternoon and the lake was so calm. I fished maybe 30 min and caught 3 bream. Lake hasn't changed much in 20 years that I remember. I stopped at the rock shoal toward the dam and changed props so I could ride the lake then the storm rolled in pretty quick. I went this morning to see if I saw any rockfish moving and didn't see nothing but a beautiful sunrise!
