    Default Stump

Short very fat 6 pt. Glad to get this one out of the herd. Killed saturday pm (early) in Hampton County. I have been waiting for a west wind to line up with my schedule to hunt a particular spot that has been very good to me in years past. Bumped 2 does going in and caught him about 15 min after I settled in. Knew he was hit, good. Waited till dark in effort to add some more meet. Saw a lone doe that almost held one and a sporty 15 inch 8pt after the kill shot.

Shot was less than 100 yards, behind right shoulder with the 300 ultra mag, 180 grain scirocco. So wide the bullet didn't exit! Ran 60-70 yards, no blood cept where he stumble onto a tree.

the movement in Hampton County this past weekend was pretty crazy. The kind of weekends you dream about.

    Haha.

I let her eat on him till she was absolutely full! Keeps her mad at them and helps when I have a little trouble tracking...
