    Default New Duck Boat!

I'm looking for a new welded duck boat 14-16ft! Something with a semi v and a relatively open floor plan. I currently have a nice 14ft monarch but its 20 years old. I feel like its about time to upgrade. I just cant decide what type of boat i want to buy! I want something relatively cheap... But I dont wanna being paying for the name thats on the side of the boat! I just want a good reliable duck boat that will last a while! Anybody got any ideas?

14-16 is a big difference 14 foot rig might be 7k and a 16 footer may be double that. What you plan to do with the rig will make the decision alot easier

I have a '72 monarch that is barely holding together (running a longtail hasnt been kind to it) and have been kicking around the idea of replacing it. Been thinking about one of the weldbilt crawdads from backwoods as mentioned above

If you're going to get a sea ark just get one of the basic Jon models and customize as you want. Yeah the new ones claim to have a triple chine but at the end of the day that boat is still going to ride like a flat bottom Jon boat. Having said that the sea arks are tough as nails.
