I'll never buy another case knife again! I've had my Opinel for about 2 years now and have absolutely no complaints.

Kinda unique, but I'll stick to my Benchmade or Microtech autos.

I can beat things with metal. That thing would get destroyed too quickly, IMHO.

The wood handle has me scratching my head a bit wondering how well it would hold up. But for $12 I ain't got much to lose.

My buddy's grandfather swears by them. He has them in all kinds of sizes. They have always seemed a little flimsy to me.

I've got one. It was given to me as a graduation gift. I like to open my mail, and what not with it.Wouldn't want to carry it everyday for fear I would mess it up. That's what my Kershaw is for.

That said, quality wise it's a fine knife.

so you carry a more expensive and nicer knife instead of the cheap one in fear of screwing the cheap one up?

I'm with USCMsilver on this. I carry my benchmade or microtech. My Boker auto is my farm knife if I remember to switch.

He said it was a graduation gift, so I'm assuming it has sentimental value

Do it, I love mine. With the price on them, I'll probably buy another one to keep in my tackle box. I love a knife as well.

You were, but that is ok. My logic does seem backwards but Duck Cutter is right, it holds some sentimental value.
