I can do 4 day hunt on public with food, gas, lic, and motel for under $400. Hotel is nothing special but who the fuck cares about staying in the hilton. Idk about you guys but I go to Arkansas to kill ducks, not for a damn spa day. Last year we had deer loin the first day, fish fry the second day ducks the third day and we ate out in Stuttgart one night. We didn't scrimp on the food.

where exactly in Khowst did your buddies die? I spent many a day fighting out of COP Sabari when it was nothing more than some C wire around the ABP station. I was shot twice at the Hospital in Nuri Kalay

Right in the middle of Khowst city, they were staying up on Matun Hill about 5 miles west of Salerno. My platoon was down at Camp Clark out towards Wilderness.

I know the area well. I lost 6 CIA buddies when a bomb went off inside the gym on camp clark. Home base was Salerno and we ran operations out of the smaller COPs for a week or two at a time. Was part of TF 2-377 durring OEF 6,7,9 & 10. basically 4 to 6 months on 4 to 6 off for 4 years.

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it.
