    Default Do ya'll shoot decoying ducks?

    Hey I'm fairly new to the public duck hunting scene and have had limited success shooting ducks feet down. I don't even try to pass shoot birds because I don't enjoy it, and to me it defeats the purpose of duck hunting and throwing out decoys in general. I was just curious if ya'll shoot decoying birds on public waters. I want to hear "yes" so I don't give up.

    If I am trying to hunt public land in SC, I shoot what is close enough to ID and kill regardless what it is actively doing when I pull the trigger.

    I like them to decoy and then swim around for a couple seconds before I shoot them.
    I'm like a duck: calm above the water, and paddling like hell underneath....

    I hate seeing a duck "shit" so I wait and shoot them on the water- this way I never see it squirt out. Plus I dont have to watch and see where they fall.

    I got 8 woodie's decoyed RIGHT NOW at the bird feeder. Was gonna take um out cause I can with my CPermit but it's rainin and don't want to get wet cleanin um
