Hps lights

So I got me a couple 400w hps wall packs they have the textured glass lenses would it be better to put a clear lens I would assume clear would be brighter. Could I use plexie glass for the lense or would it melt?

yes, plexieglass will melt. but honestly, the textured glass isnt going to make them that much dimmer. you probably wouldnt be able to tell. i would try it with those first and then change later if you need to.
