    I agree with USMC.

The days of hanging your guns on the wall in a wooden gun rack or sitting them in the den in a glass front cabinet for all to see are long gone.
The Elites don't fear the tall nails, government possesses both the will and the means to crush those folks. What the Elites do fear (or should fear) are the quiet men and women, with low profiles, hard hearts, long memories, and detailed target folders for action as they choose.

Sadly, as a youngan I took great pleasure in looking at the Iron that was displayed by friends and family. Shit-assed world we're livin in.

    Yep.

My dad had a big gun cabinet where they were on display as I grew up. When I built their house, those beautiful works of art went into a solid concrete bunker with a hardened steel door. Now that they are mine they still reside in a bunker.
Yeah, but do you consider a dog to be a filthy animal? I wouldn't go so far as to call a dog filthy but they're definitely dirty. But, a dog's got personality. Personality goes a long way.

I have a nice wooden gun cabinet . . . in the attic. Agree with the above. It just isn't an effective way to keep your guns safe.

I still prefer the (childsafe) display along with the risk of theft over a safe.
