    Default Layout boats

Looking to try and get one or two. Is there any kind of dealer that sells used layout boats? Something other than Craig's list?

Since you can't hunt out of a layout by yourself anyway, do what we did. Get a few of your close hunting buddies and everyone chip in.

Who on earth gave you that silly idea?
Be proactive about improving public waterfowl habitat in South Carolina. It's not going to happen by itself, and our help is needed. We have the potential to winter thousands of waterfowl on public grounds if we fight for it.

Traditional layouts are usually anchored and a tender boat is needed to pick up dead ducks and decoys, as well as for safety. Some do come with a small motor mount, but why would anyone put a motor on a layout? There is barely enough room in ours to laydown and I don't know where you would put a battery or a gas tank? There are other options besides a layout if you want to run around and hunt. We hunt big water, and there is no way I would putter out 2 or 3 miles from shore in a little bitty boat by myself.

This is what we have, and we have killed quite a few birds out of it.
